Make a Difference at Cytora

Digital connectivity is the lifeblood of innovation. At Cytora, a division of Applied Systems, we sit at the center of what's transforming the insurance carrier ecosystem, enabling smarter risk decisioning, faster integrations, and scalable digital distribution. Making a difference for the industry and within our team is what pushes us forward every day. That's why we're building a team that shows up ready to learn, willing to try new things, and driven to deliver software and services that make us indispensable to our customers – all within a culture that makes us indispensable to each other.

Position Overview

We're searching for a Solution Consultant to serve alongside our Cytora sales team and serve our carrier customers in a consultative, pre-sales manner. You will be the crucial link in understanding a carrier’s business needs and our platform's technical capabilities, building trust and credibility with your expertise.  Utilizing your industry and technical experience, you will partner closely with our Sales team to lead operational and technical discovery with a carrier, document strategic and functional goals, assess architecture structure, prove alignment with product capabilities through demonstration and proof-of-concept engagements, and exhibit how Cytora’s technology changes will lower costs or increase production. You can live anywhere in North America, working from a home office with up to 50% travel.

What You'll Do

  • Lead operational and technical discovery with carrier prospects, understanding their business and challenges, and mapping their architecture, data flows, and integration points to surface where Cytora delivers the most value
  • Deliver technical demonstrations and proof-of-concept configurations of Cytora's platform capabilities under active deal pressure to carrier C-suite executives, IT leaders, and architects
  • Build and execute proof-of-concepts in sandbox environments, using REST APIs, Postman, webhooks and Python-based data scripting
  • Develop technical understanding of software capabilities and architecture for presentation and authored responses to RFIs/RFPs
  • Coordinate site visits with prospects/clients
  • Ensure hand-offs to and engage with supporting resources at the appropriate phase of the sale
  • Stay current on carrier technology ecosystems, insurtech platform trends, the competitive landscape, AI-based capabilities, and emerging integration standards
  • Ability to work 100% remotely or from an Applied Systems’ office
  • Available for up to 50% travel nationwide with limited international travel to Canada and Europe

We're Excited to Learn More About You

  • 5+ years of experience in P&C insurance carrier operations and/or AI-driven technology (platform architecture, IT, or technical pre-sales) with deep familiarity with core systems (rating, billing, distribution, or data environments)
  • Hands-on fluency with REST APIs, webhooks and data scripting
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical stakeholders (architects, IT leaders) and business stakeholders (COO, underwriting, distribution leaders)
  • Strong presentation and documentation skills
  • A valid driver's license and safe driving record required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in insurance and/or technology

We know that talent comes from all backgrounds and experience levels. We encourage military members and their spouses as well as candidates without a traditional degree to apply!
