Transforming the insurance industry is ambitious, we know. That’s why at Applied, we’re building a team that shows up every day ready to learn, willing to try new things, and driven to deliver innovative software and services that make us indispensable to our customers, all within a culture built on values that make us indispensable to each other too. With 40+ years of experience in the Insurtech game, we’re not just redefining what’s achievable; we’re creating a place where amazing career moments are made possible.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Director of Product to  join our EZLynx Product team on a hybrid basis from Dallas. To keep us headed in the right direction, we’re looking for people who understand winning is a team sport, who value and seek to learn from our team’s diverse experiences and backgrounds, who welcome a challenge and take risks in the pursuit of creating better outcomes for our customers, and who can, at any given time, step back to laugh and have some fun.

In this position you will own strategy, execution, and leadership for EZLynx’s core management system, which includes a portfolio covering customer & policy management, document management, CRM, communication tools, and accounting. You will set the long‑term vision and roadmap across this portfolio, align go‑to‑market and operational strategies, and ensure stellar cross-functional delivery that meets company objectives and delights independent agencies.

This role balances product portfolio leadership with operational excellence—establishing procedures, governance, and visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles—while channeling the voice of the customer to drive adoption, retention, and measurable outcomes.

 What You’ll Do

  • Provide product leadership for EZLynx’s core management system portfolio, including customer & policy management, CRM and communication tools, document management, and accounting.
  • Drive the vision, roadmap, and execution of products that serve both customer and internal needs.
  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers, fostering clarity, accountability, and customer focus.
  • Apply structured strategic thinking to complex problems and create executive‑ready presentations that clearly communicate insights, decisions, and recommendations.
  • Guide the development of short‑ and long‑term product roadmaps, including new target markets and feature definition.
  • Develop and monitor operational processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, risks, and obstacles for key initiatives.
  • Manage the product portfolio of initiatives, partnering with product managers to define and deliver meaningful business outcomes.
  • Ensure the product team channels the voice of the customer into market‑facing product decisions, establishing feedback loops and communication plans.
  • Provide leadership and make high‑level decisions to identify, prioritize, and address problems and opportunities across the portfolio.

We’re Excited to Learn More About You

 Your experience may include:

  • 10+ years’ experience leading teams that deliver highly successful and innovative SaaS products.
  • Proven success in taking products and ideas from inception to maturity, driving revenue and earnings growth.
  • Strong experience in complex, workflow‑heavy B2B SaaS, ideally within insurance or financial services.
  • Track record of understanding customer needs—both intuitively and through objective, data‑driven insights.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; MBA preferred.
  • You must also be able to travel up to 15%.

You may have other skills or credentials, including:

  • Exceptional strategic problem‑solving skills with the ability to distill ambiguous or complex topics into clear narratives, supported by polished, executive‑level presentation materials.
  • Property & Casualty insurance knowledge; familiarity with agency operations and workflows. Understanding of ACORD standards, including policy/forms, AL3, and ACORD XML.
  • Ability to identify patterns through statistical analysis.
  • Experience with product analytics tooling (e.g., Pendo, Amplitude) and cloud data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake) for instrumentation and insight.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and tools such as JIRA, Smartsheet, and Gantt charts; expert in Microsoft Office Suite

We know that talent comes from all backgrounds and experience levels. We encourage military members and their spouses, as well as candidates without a degree or a background in tech to apply!
