Position Overview  

We are seeking a seasoned executive sales leader with deep-rooted relationships in the U.S. P&C Insurer arena to join our team as the Vice President of Carrier Sales (Cytora). Reporting directly to the Chief Sales Officer (Carrier) and working also closely with our GM North America (Cytora), this role is critical in expanding sales of Cytora’s Risk Digitization platform to US insurance carriers, MGAs and wholesale brokers.  Cytora, now part of Applied Systems, applies vertical AI at global scale to transform commercial insurance. Founded in 2012, Cytora leverages GenAI to enable brokers, insurers and reinsurers to digitize and automate the risk intake across commercial insurance. Applied Systems are a global leader in insurance technology since 1983, powering more than 18,000 agencies and 160,000+ users across North America and Europe with its cloud-based software solutions. Together, Cytora and Applied Systems are accelerating digitization of risk flows across the insurance industry—driving greater efficiency, improved service and connectivity between insurers and brokers worldwide.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise sales leadership, a deep understanding of the P&C commercial insurance market, and the ability to drive growth of Cytora’s Risk Digitization platform.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Lead and develop the Cytora Sales team, setting the strategic direction to achieve growth objectives with Tier 1-3 insurers in the U.S.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the insurance market, leveraging your extensive network and industry knowledge.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers at leading commercial insurers.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to insurers, understanding their needs and positioning our Risk Digitization solutions to enhance their operational capabilities and financial performance.
  • Sales Growth & Revenue Generation:
    • Drive sales growth by developing and executing strategies that align with the company's overall business goals, ensuring the successful adoption of our Risk Digitization platform by insurer partners.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development and marketing, to ensure seamless integration and promotion of our solutions within the P&C commercial insurance market.
  • Market Insights & Innovation:
    • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring that our products and services remain at the forefront of innovation in the Insurtech space.
    • Provide market insights and feedback to the executive team, influencing product development and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in an enterprise sales leadership role within the insurance technology market, with deep insurance industry connections.
  • Extensive experience in selling complex SaaS solutions, particularly within, data analytics and AI space.
  • Strong understanding of the P&C insurance industry, specifically the insurer ecosystem, and the challenges and opportunities related to modernizing insurance carrier workflows and digital transformation.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence at the highest levels.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, driving both short-term results and long-term growth.)

Our targeted starting base salary in the United States for this position ranges from $225,000 - $250,000. To determine a new team member’s starting pay, we consider a variety of factors, including someone’s depth, breadth, and variety of experience, skills, and responsibilities. Depending on the role, team members may also be eligible to participate in additional compensation plans such as bonus and commission.
