Position Overview
Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is seeking a Product Operations Manager to join our Product Operations Team. Product Operations enable the achievement of product and business outcomes. Product Operations is responsible for process improvement design, tooling, automation, and leading all related cross-functional work and communication.
This role will lead the Product Voice of Market and Roadmap Planning Operational Procedures, and includes these additional expectations:
- Own the voice of market processes and governance, including customer discovery and experimentation in close collaboration with Product Marketing and UX
- Own the roadmap planning process from ideation up to engineering execution, ensuring the process supports data-informed decision making, alignment to strategy, and shared understanding across product teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Work closely with our solution analyst and cross-functional partners to understand tooling needs and implement best practices that support Voice of Market (e.g., Advanced Communities for Salesforce, Pendo) and Roadmap Planning (e.g., Jira Product Discovery), while partnering with internal and external teams to drive successful tool adoption and ensure effective user engagement.
What You’ll Do
- Continuously enhance operational processes. Seek feedback on current processes, identify opportunities to optimize workflows, and work cross-functionally to implement optimizations.
- Drive change, resulting in business processes that streamline operations and assure alignment with overall business objectives.
- Collaborate through proactive communication and coordination with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to ensure successful product and process outcomes.
- Oversee and manage the product management tool stack specific to their areas of ownership.
- Champion data literacy & data-driven decision-making within the Product organization.
- Mentor and coach Product Management teams on best practices, tools, and techniques to facilitate efficient delivery of high-quality software.
- Develop training materials, templates, and documentation to support internal product teams and stakeholders in understanding processes, changes, and best practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by team, department, and company leadership.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Can work remotely or from an Applied Systems office.
- Ability to travel.

Your experience may include:
- 5 -7 years of experience in Product Operations and/or Product Management
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills, with a proven ability to adapt to change and translate it into action plans.
- Demonstrated experience leading multiple concurrent cross-company projects to successful outcomes.
- Effective influences without authority, with a proven history of aligning cross-functional leadership around shared goals and strategies.
- Consistently applies a resourceful, solution-oriented approach to complex challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and consult across teams, driving collaboration and adapting PDLC communication to suit a variety of stakeholders.
- Proven track record in leveraging analytics and driving process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.
- Skilled in leveraging voice of market insights and roadmap planning tools to inform strategic product direction, regardless of specific platform.
- Extensive knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Confluence, JIRA, and SharePoint
You may have other skills or credentials, including:
- Familiarity with data-driven storytelling and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics, or Looker
- A background working for a SaaS or Software company.
