Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Product Manager, Data & Analytics to join our Product Management team, working squarely on the intersection of business, technology, and our users’ experience. As a product manager at Applied Systems, you will empower Insurance Agencies to better advise, service, and protect their client’s needs. Our products connect the Insurtech ecosystem, connecting Agencies to their clients and to insurance carriers.  What You'll Do

• The Product Manager, Data & Analytics defines and executes the overall Data & Analytics platform strategy and roadmap for the Insurtech ecosystem.
• The Data & Analytics platform will focus on the developer persona for our customers, partners, and Applied product team.
• This person will be passionate about enabling developers and product teams to integrate intelligence and insights into their products, solutions, and business workflows.
• Whether solving for today’s challenges or tomorrow’s aspirations, you will work with the insurance industry’s brightest thinkers on diverse projects, creating next-generation solutions that deliver powerful results.

What You’ll Need to Succeed 

We’re looking for someone who: 

• Can work remotely or from an Applied Systems office.
• Ability to travel

Your experience should include some or all of the following: 

• 3 -5 years working on technology-powered products as a product manager with APIs and Data platform products
• Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery

• Solid knowledge of analytics tool implementations and governance
• Systems utilized at Applied include Big Query, Looker, Amplitude, Domo, Pendo, and Google Analytics

• Strong technical acumen with the ability to empathize with development and product teams that are building Data & Analytics solutions for their end users and customers
• Proven ability to develop constructive and collaborative relationships across the organization to deliver excellent product & business outcomes
• Able to learn multiple functional areas of the business (engineering, design, product ops finance, sales, marketing, etc.) and how they contribute to excellent product & business outcomes
• Experience developing product strategies and roadmaps focused on outcomes; utilizing both quantitative and qualitative data to identify opportunities and measure success
• Demonstrated experience tracking industry trends, technology trends, and the competitive landscape to inform product differentiation
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the areas of Information Science, Computer Science, or related disciplines.

• Commercial Lines or Insurance experience
• Experience with JIRA or similar tools
• An engineering or technical background
