    Job Summary
    Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Regional Sales Manager-Midwest Territory with the leadership skills and sales knowledge to motivate and prepare a team of Sales Consultants for continual success.  By using your expertise in sales techniques and tactics, you will develop, plan, and manage activities that will allow your team to ensure revenue growth and the consistent expansion of our client base.  You will also work directly with the sales executives to ensure the needs of the sales force are properly addressed.  You will maintain full managerial responsibility for your team, including interviewing, hiring, performance appraisals, performance improvement plans, and pay reviews.

    Additional responsibilities include:

    • Accurately forecast weekly, annually, quarterly and monthly sales revenue projections
    • Provide quarterly results assessments of the field staff’s productivity
    • Assist sales consultants with questions and issues arising during the final discussions of a sale
    • Assist in the sales of strategic accounts when assigned
    • Develop pro-active competitive strategies and targeted sales campaigns
    • Maintain expertise on company’s products/services to effectively manage sales activities

     

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or marketing (or equivalent work experience)
    • 3+ years experience managing a sales team
    • 8+ years experience successful sales experience
    • 5+ years experience in technology sales (preferably software/system sales)
    • A valid driver’s license and safe driving record is required
    • Insurance industry experience preferred
