    Job Summary
    Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a talented and passionate Senior DevOps Engineer to help scale our products and accelerate development while ensuring we deliver a secure, stable services. You'll build and own our CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, alerting and logging systems and developer experience, driving us towards more efficient work, performant systems and higher visibility.



    • Designing and maintaining build pipelines for Applied Systems applications and infrastructure
    • Proactively monitoring all systems for uptime and security. Noticing trends before they become issues. Improving monitoring infrastructure as needed
    • Implementing reliable system integrations, creating and maintaining process automation tools as needed
    • Supporting engineering teams. Troubleshooting and resolving issues across our environments.
    • Forecasting and optimizing capacity and AWS infrastructure costs
    • Responding to PagerDuty alerts as part of an on-call rotation with another engineer



    • 4+ years of experience administering 24/7 web applications running on AWS
    • Strong familiarity with DevOps principles
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • In-depth working experience with AWS services, APIs, and Linux
    • Experience designing and creating build pipelines (Jenkins)
    • Experience using Automation & Configuration management tools such as Ansible / Chef / Puppet, and CloudFormation / Terraform
    • A passion for uptime
    • Experience with any of the following technologies a plus: Vagrant, Docker, Git, MySQL, Python or similar scripting languages, or Windows Server
    • PCI compliance experience a plus
