    Job Summary
    Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a UX Lead to lead the design of a key product. The UX Lead will be dedicated to conducting primary user research, exploring user requirements, vetting user scenarios, sketching, wireframing, mocking, and prototyping solutions. Ultimately accountable for the delivery, quality, and success of the product’s user experience throughout the entire product lifecycle. 


    In this position, you will:

    • Develop a strong understanding of our user’s experience through our suite of products
    • Explore the needs and motivations of this product’s target users
    • Assist in defining features, workflows, and enhancements on an ongoing basis
    • Bring product ideas to life with quick, well-reasoned wireframes and mockups
    • Coordinate and conduct primary user research to help us efficiently validate and iterate
    • Collaborate with the product and development teams as they implement the design into working code
    • Follow up on the results of your work as we measure and report on user engagement

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
    • 5+ years of experience in UI/UX, preferably in a commercial software environment
    • Proficient in design and prototyping tools (whiteboards, Balsamiq, Adobe Photoshop/XD, etc.)
    • Experience with web front end technologies including HTML, CSS (LESS or Sass), and grid layout systems preferred
    • Experience working in an Agile team, Kanban a plus
    • Experience working in multiple form factors – desktop applications, websites, mobile apps, etc.
