    Job Summary
    Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Director, Talent Acquisition to provide strategic leadership to our Talent Acquisition team, which is responsible for identifying, attracting, and onboarding high-caliber talent for a broad range of positions in our global organization.  In this role, you will collaborate with a wide range Team Applied members in an effort to continually improve candidate and hiring manager experience; identify and implement emerging recruiting process/tools; and develop an enticing employment brand image.  You will also actively contribute to Applied’s initiatives aimed at accelerating the development of the company’s leadership team.  Your work will directly result in establishing Applied as a highly attractive, sought after employer of choice in the technology marketplace.


    Additional responsibilities include:

    • Establish a harmonized and efficient Talent Acquisition process across all global organizations
    • Collaborate with Field HR Business Partner team as well as with Sr. Management to forecast long term talent requirements, and develop resulting recruiting strategies to address them
    • Manage effective University Relations program, including oversight of the summer intern program, to identify and secure future talent
    • Partner with Marketing team to develop employment brand messaging/content, including monitoring influencing social media platforms (eg; Glassdoor, Indeed, etc.)
    • Review effectiveness of current and implement utilization of additional pre-employment selection instruments to improve both the efficiency and effectiveness of recruitment process
    • Ensure real-time tracking and reporting of manpower related headcount and labor expense against business plan
    • Develop and deliver accurate and timely reports with specific Talent Acquisition metrics (i.e. staff forecasting, quality of hires, time-to-fill, ROI, etc.)
    • Manage vendor relationships; negotiate contracts according to budgetary guidelines and ensure service levels meet business needs
    • Contribute to Applied’s broader Talent Management program and process improvement initiatives
    • Manage the Talent Acquisition function budget

     

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communication, Business, or related field; or equivalent work experience
    • 10+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in the Technology industry, including 3+ years in a management capacity; experience in a global organization helpful but not required
    • Ability to train others to have strong recruiting and negotiation skills, including building and managing candidate pipelines (searching, sourcing, cold calling, etc.) as their learning styles dictate
    • Ability to effectively interface with and influence management up to and including at the Executive level
    • Proven ability to build and maintain internal and external partnerships
    • Keen understanding of job markets in which Applied recruits; ability to quickly absorb information on new markets
    • Advanced knowledge of common recruiting tools including ATS (iCIMS preferred), social networking sites, Internet job boards, etc.; intermediate knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
    • Solid understanding/knowledge of “Employment Law Compliance”, including all EEO, ADEA, and ADA regulations
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Strong presentation skills
    • Excellent communication (speaking, listening, writing), organizational, collaboration, and problem solving skills
    • Available for up to 10-15% travel
