    Job Summary

    Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Corporate Sales Account Executive (Bilingual) to be responsible for servicing insurance companies and other large specified named clients in the Canadian market space.  In this role you will develop new relationships with insurance carriers by prospecting, proposing, and selling to these potential clients.  You will use a consultative sales approach to create account plans and deliver solutions to clients and prospects which meet their business need and provide them with the utmost levels of satisfaction.  You will be relied upon to anticipate and manage problems that may delay purchase decisions by developing an in-depth understanding of each client’s organization, products, services, business/technical needs, and daily operational challenges.  You will be responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.  Ideally, we are looking for candidates available to work out of our Montreal or Mississauga office.


    Additional responsibilities include:

    • Compress sales cycle by working with those charged with developing product value analyses and purchase justifications
    • Disseminate customer needs and the penetration strategy and tactics to bring alignment to company product road maps and sales and marketing activities
    • Gather market feedback on product performance, industry trends, competitive products, and strategies
    • Develop and manage strong relationships within each customer’s functional department management and upper management levels
    • Support the company’s goals and values; establish an excellent working relationship with new and existing clients continuously striving to improve the business relationship and level of overall service being provided
    • Provide monthly sale projections to the Executive Vice President, Sales



    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
    • Ability to speak, write, and read English and French fluently
    • 5+ years successful sales experience, with a consultative/solution methodology
    • 3-5 years of enterprise level software solution sales experience
      • Insurance industry experience a plus
    • Excellent demonstration, presentation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
    • Solid time management skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize projects
    • Able to commit to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals
    • Available for up to 100% travel
    • A valid driver’s license and safe driving record is required
    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc., preferred
