    Job Summary
    Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Product Manager, Sales & Marketing to join our Product Management team, the intersection between business and technology.  In this role, you will take ownership of the sales automation and marketing areas of our products through the full product lifecycle.  You will be relied upon to perform critical business analysis and go-to-market functions from idea generation through design, development, and launch/rollout.  You will also direct ongoing market research to ensure the product continues to be profitable and meets customer needs.  The end goal if your efforts is to produce products/features that delight customers via innovation and effectiveness.  Note that you may live anywhere in the United States for this position, as we are most concerned about finding the best talent!

     

    Additional responsibilities include: 

    • Manage the long-term roadmap for Applied’s front-end solutions, including Applied Epic Sales Automation
    • Involving the Product Team, Sales, Marketing, Implementation, Support, Clients, Partners and other groups as stakeholders throughout research and product release launches
    • Work closely with Product Owner to write acceptance criteria for new features/functionality and demonstrate latest iterations to customers for feedback
    • Win the hearts and minds of creators in Development through mock-ups, customer journey mapping sessions, discussions and throughout the development process
    • Consistently communicate with internal and external stakeholders to gain agreement on product direction and future deliverables
    • Provides business requirements, market opportunity, value creation, and success metrics
    • Establishes product messaging and communication working with Marketing and other business units
    • Ensure appropriate support processes are in place, tracks and corrects product performance/support problems, and drives sales results
    • Drive product activation to ensure new products or features/releases are ready for launch including training, support, marketing, messaging, sales and other related departments
    • Elicit internal customer requirements using interviews, document review, workflow analysis, and requirements workshops

     

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
    • 5+ years of software product management experience, preferably in B2B software in front-end workflow areas such as sales automation, marketing automation or similar sales-focused products
    • Exceptional interpersonal, communication (spoken and written) and influencing skills and an ability to navigate a complex and unstructured cross-functional environment
    • Understanding of software business models
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; strong bias towards data-based decisions
    • Familiarity with general release plan and execution tasks to facilitate the tracking and managing of release plans
    • Ability to think both strategically and tactically; can formulate data-driven decisions that lead to results
    • Ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects; deadline driven
    • Street smarts; willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet team goals
    • Available for up to 25% travel
