    Job Summary
    Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Contract Specialist to join our growing Legal team.  In this role, you will work closely with our internal Legal, Sales, and Contract Administration teams to assist in the development, negotiation, and management of customer contracts and associated vendor agreements.  You will have extensive interaction with our clients as contracts are negotiated, partnering directly with our corporate attorneys on more complex issues.  This is a newer role on the Legal team, necessitated by our rapidly growing client base.

    Additional responsibilities include:

    • Route documents/requests for additional input, approvals, and treatment as needed
    • Create and maintain standard contract templates and reports
    • Interact with Contract Administration and Finance on contract related matters
    • Engage with client and internal team members using pre-defined guidelines
    • Timely manage projects, including related sales and customer expectations



    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; Paralegal or Contract Management certificate;
    • 3+ years of experience in a contract-driven role (i.e. Paralegal, Contact Administrator/Manager, Procurement Specialist, etc.)
    • Demonstrated negotiation skills
    • Able to understand and negotiate legal and business issues while maintaining positive relationships with business units, clients, partners and vendors
    • Outstanding communication skills and proficient with general office technology (PCs, MS Office Suite)
