Job Summary
Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for knowledgeable and talented C# / VB.Net Developer to join our Interface software development team that supports Applied Epic, the leading product in the insurance software industry.  In this role, you will work on both new development and enhancements for Epic.  You will be part of an Agile Scrum team that develops and supports products using Visual Studio, VB.NET, C#, C++, and SQL Server.  You will collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Team members to deliver high quality technical solutions that answer our clients’ business requirements. 


Additional responsibilities include:

  • New development and maintenance of our applications using .Net (Visual Studio, VB.NET, C#) and SQL Server
  • Research problems and various solutions, while devising a plan to solve these problems
  • Become a dedicated participant of your Agile Scrum team
    • Collaborating with other members on the Scrum team to self-manage feature development to completion
    • Participating in Sprint Reviews of completed functionality at the end of each sprint
    • Participating in Sprint planning of future development task
  • Identify and communicate possible improvements in the work process for customers and peers
  • Coordination with groups outside of Development including, but not limited to Support, Implementation and Product Management



  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of programming, including experience with C# or VB.Net development and SQL Server
  • Ability to work with others in a team-oriented environment; experience with Agile Scrum methodology an asset
  • Proven ability to think creatively and develop new ways of handling technical and project tasks (thinks outside the box)
  • Expert troubleshooting skills and research abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
