    Job Summary
    Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Product Manager, Benefits to help lead the way in extending our agency automation solutions into the Benefits Insurance marketplace.  Using your expertise in the field of benefits insurance products, you will work with our core product teams to drive customizations and usability enhancements to our benefits solution for independent insurance agencies and brokers across North America and the UK.  Customizations will be based upon the identification and prioritization of specific features and functionalities that resolve outstanding needs of our users, as well as upon the benchmarking of competitive products.  This research will allow you, alongside our knowledgeable technical team, to define and implement a roadmap of improvements that ensure Applied Systems’ leadership in benefits solutions.


    Additional responsibilities include:

    • Schedule and manage multiple projects from inception to final delivery
    • Establish and oversee quality procedures
    • Communicate with internal departments to ensure consistency with internationalization and localization requirements
    • Communication with external customers on production related issues when necessary
    • Identify solutions that will increase revenue and/or client adoption
    • Clearly articulate required business needs
    • Facilitate conversations between key business teams to ensure consistency in deliverables
    • Maintain accurate documentation


    • 2+ years of experience in the insurance industry with a focus on employee benefits and/or benefits-focused software/technology; product and or/project management experience helpful
    • Demonstrated ability to formulate data-driven decisions that lead to results
    • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects
    • Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tactically
    • Exceptional interpersonal, communication (spoken and written), and influencing skills and an ability to navigate a complex and unstructured cross-functional environment.
    • Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining consistent quality
    • Ability to manage relationships with internal clients and external client/vendors/carriers
